Perry County Double Kwik Robbed At Gun Point

(Hazard, KY) - The robbery of a Perry County business during Sunday morning has left a suspect lodged in the Kentucky River Regional Detention Center charged with Robbery 1st degree. KSP Post 13 Hazard received a call at approximately 1046 hours, from an employee at the VICCO DOUBLE KWIK advising she had just been robbed at gun point. The employee advised the suspect entered the business armed with a hand gun and demanded money. The employee complied with the robber's request and gave him the money from the cash register. The employee advised the robber exited the business, got into a black vehicle and fled on KY 15 northbound toward Hazard. The employee gave a brief description of the robber stating he was dressed in all black clothing and wearing a mask.
Trooper Eric Caldwell, Trooper Josh Huff and Trooper Josh Richardson from Post 13 Hazard responded to the area in an attempt to locate the vehicle that had been used in the robbery. Troopers located the suspected vehicle from the robbery in the Jeff Community of Perry County. During the course of the investigation it was determined by Trooper Eric Caldwell that Sherman McIntosh had committed the robbery of the VICCO DOUBLE KWIK. Sherman McIntosh was charged with Robbery 1st degree and lodged in the Kentucky River Regional Detention Center. Trooper Eric Caldwell with KSP Post 13 is leading this investigation.
