Three People Injured in Anderson County Collision

(Post 12 Frankfort) - The Kentucky State Police in Frankfort are investigating a collision in Anderson County that left three people injured. On December 3rd, 2014 at 1:00 PM, a Trooper assigned to Anderson County, Mike Carnahan, responded to an injury collision at KY-127 and HWY 151 in Lawrenceburg, KY.

A 2002 Dodge truck was being operated by Kurt L. Meyer, age 79, of Lawrenceburg, KY., northbound on KY-127. A 2008 Toyota Corolla was being operated by Stephanie Aldridge, age 38, of Frankfort, KY., Aldridge was stationary, stopped behind a 2014 Nissan Sentra driven by Scott Richards, age 50, of Owensboro Ky. Who was stopped at the traffic light at KY-151, and KY-127.

The 2002 Dodge Truck failed to stop and rear ended the 2008 Toyota Corolla causing it to strike the 2014 Nissan Sentra directly in front of it. The impact caused the Nissan Sentra to travel through the intersection where it came to a final rest on the left hand shoulder of KY-127, north of the intersection.

All parties involved were transported to the hospital. The driver of the Dodge truck, Kurt Meyer, and the driver of the Nissan Sentra, Scott Richards, were both taken to Frankfort Regional Medical Center. The driver of the Toyota Corolla, Stephanie Aldridge, was taken to the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY.

The Kentucky State Police were assisted by the Anderson County Sheriff's Department, Anderson County EMS and the Anderson County Fire Department. The collision remains under investigation by KSP.
