KSP Arrests Three Subjects for Manufacturing Methamphetamine in Shelby County

(Frankfort, KY) - On October 13, 2014, at approximately 8:37pm, Kentucky State Police received a complaint of possible drug activity originating from a vehicle traveling into Shelby County.
After noting several driving infractions, Troopers conducted a traffic stop of the suspect vehicle, a red Dodge Ram, traveling south on Eminence Pike, Shelbyville.
KSP requested the assistance of Shelby County Sheriff's Office Canine Unit. The canine unit alerted on active methamphetamine lab found in the rear of the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle, Brenda Fugate, age 33, of Vest, KY, was arrested and charged with Manufacturing of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine Precursors, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st, (2 counts) Wanton Endangerment 1st, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and several driving infractions.
Two passengers in the vehicle, Brad Sparkman, age 27, of Dice, KY and Danny Sizemore, age 37, of McDowell, KY were arrested and charged with Manufacturing of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine Precursors, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st, (2 counts) Wanton Endangerment 1st, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Arrested subjects were transported to the Shelby County Detention Center.
Two children were removed from the vehicle, decontaminated by Shelby County Fire/EMS and transported to Corsairs Children's Hospital for evaluation.
Kentucky State Police were assisted at the scene by Shelby County Sheriff's Office, Shelby County Fire/EMS, and Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
The investigation is continuing by Kentucky State Police Post 12.
