Drug Investigation and Arrest in McCreary County

(LONDON, KY.) - On Friday, November 07, 2014 at approximately 11:00 PM Trooper William Cowan stopped a 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier for several minor traffic violations on East Williamsburg Street in McCreary County.
Trooper Cowan determined that the driver, Curtis Bloodworth, 29, of Whitley City was operating a motor vehicle under the influence. Also in the vehicle were three passengers, Michael Cole, 31, of Pine Knot, Sarena Summers, 32, of Whitley City and Geneva Ridener, 45, of Whitley City. All three were found to have bench warrants from McCreary County.
During the search of the vehicle troopers located several items used to manufacture methamphetamine, a syringe containing suspected methamphetamine was also located along with other paraphernalia associated with drugs.
Bloodworth was arrested at the scene and charged with DUI, Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st offense, Possession of a controlled Substance 1st Degree, Possession of a Meth Precursor 1st offense and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
All three passengers were arrested at the scene and charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine 1st offense, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Possession of a Meth Precursor 1st offense and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Trooper Cowan continues the investigation and was assisted at the scene by Trooper Shaler Jones and Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Officer Chris King.
