Harlan County Fatal

(Dione, Ky.) - On November 5, 2014 at 5:40 a.m. Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan received a call about a collision on U.S. 119 in the Dione community of Harlan County. Tpr. Jared Boggs responded to the scene and began an investigation.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a 1989 Mack truck driven by Charles Puryear, 65, of Harlan was traveling north on U.S. 119 when a 1992 Toyota Camry driven by Delbert Boggs, 38, of Harlan drove into the rear of the dump truck. Mr. Boggs was transported from the scene by Life Care to the Harlan ARH and pronounced deceased by the Harlan County Coroner Phillip Bianchi. No charges are pending in this investigation.
The collision is still under investigation by Tpr. Jared Boggs.
Also assisted at the scene were: Sgt. Rob Farley, Det. Josh Howard, CVE Officer Jason Freeman, and Life Care.
