Drug Arrest in Harlan County

(Closplint, Ky.) - On October 19, 2014 Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Criminal Interdiction Team received information that Johnny Bush, 59, from the Closplint community of Harlan County, was selling marijuana.
Troopers made contact with Mr. Bush and conducted a search of the residence. Troopers located two marijuana plants, approximately eight ounces of processed marijuana, 14 suboxone pills, three guns, and approximately $500.00 in cash was located and seized. Mr. Bush was arrested and charged with the following:
- Trafficking in marijuana less than 8 ounces 1st offense.
- Cultivating in marijuana less than 5 plants.
- Possession of a controlled substance 2nd degree.
- Possession of drug paraphernalia.
Mr. Bush was lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center. This case is still under investigation by trooper Brandon Burton. Trooper Jason Partin, Tpr. Joey Brigmon, TFC Dallas Eubanks and canine Rex assisted with the search.
