Drug Arrest in Knox County

(Corbin, Ky.) - On October 2, 2014 at approximately 9:00 p.m. Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan received a call of smoke and a wield smell that was coming from a camper on Hidden Valley Rd in the Corbin community of Knox County. Troopers from Post 10 responded to investigate. Once Tpr. Jake Wilson arrived, he noticed smoke coming from the windows and what appeared to be a meth lab. Wanetta Denton, 52, of Corbin and Michael Wynn, 38, of Corbin came out of the camper and was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine 1st offense, unlawful possession of meth precursors, possession of controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense. KSP DESI Section was called in to clean up the meth lab.
Ms. Denton and Mr. Wynn where both arrested and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center. This case is still under investigation by Tpr. Jake Wilson. He was assisted at the scene by KSP DESI Section, Tpr. Sammy Farris, Tpr. Desmon Brittle, and the Knox County Sheriff's Department.
