Drug Arrest made in Knox County

(Corbin, Ky.) - On October 1, 2014 at approximately 1:30 am Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan received information of a possible Meth Lab located inside a garage in the Corbin area of Knox County. Trooper Jake Wilson responded to the location. Once Tpr. Wilson arrived, he located a meth lab inside the garage. The owner of the garage, Joseph Jones, 38, of Corbin lives beside of the garage and was arrested and charged with the following.
- Manufacturing Methamphetamine 2nd degree
- Unlawful Possession of Meth Precursors
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
Mr. Jones was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center. Case is still under investigation by Tpr. Jake Wilson. He was assisted at the scene by KSP Desi East Section, Laurel Co. Sheriff's Dept, Corbin Police Dept, and Knox Co Sheriff's Dept.
