Bell County Fatal

(Pineville, Ky.) - On May 31, 2014 at approximately 2:00 p.m. Kentucky State Police, Post 10 Harlan received a call of a two vehicle collision involving an eighteen wheeler in Log Mountain community of Bell County. Troopers from post 10 responded and upon their arrival they notified post that it was a fatality. Post 10's Accident Reconstructionist Kenneth Sergent was notified.
Preliminary investigation indicates that Anthony Baker was operating a 2011 GMC pick-up truck while traveling north on U.S.25E when he drove underneath an eighteen wheeler. Anthony Baker, along with Lisa Hoskins were transported to Pineville Community Hospital. Lisa Hoskins was later flown to the University of Tennessee Hospital. Her condition is not known at this time. The third passenger in the vehicle, Aaron Baker, 21, from Pineville was pronounced dead at the scene by the Bell County Deputy Coroner. The operator of the eighteen wheeler, Kenneth Wirt Jr. was not injured in the collision.
The collision is still under investigation by Tpr. Kenneth Sergent.
