Injury Collision in Rowan County

(Morehead, KY) - On December 21, 2013 at 11:00 p.m. Kentucky State Police Morehead received a call for service from Rowan County dispatch in reference to a single vehicle injury accident on Interstate 64 at the 143 mile marker. Trooper Scott Caudill, Sergeant Aaron Martin, Morehead Fire and Rescue, Morehead Police Department and Rowan County EMS responded to the scene. Jesse Glover, 23 of Olive Hill, was operating a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu west bound on Interstate 64 when he lost control of the vehicle striking the guardrail on the right hand shoulder of the roadway. Mr. Glover was transported to Saint Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead, KY where he was treated for injuries sustained in the accident. Passengers, Anthony Benson, 22 of Olive Hill, and Zachary Brown, 20 of Olive Hill were also transported to Saint Claire Regional Medical Center and later transferred to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY for further treatment. Mr. Benson is listed in critical but stable condition. Mr. Brown is listed in serious but stable condition. Speed and alcohol are believed to be a factor in the accident. The accident remains under investigation by Trooper Scott Caudill.
