Injury Collision on KY 32 in Rowan County

(Morehead, KY)-- On January 27th 2013 at 10:59 P.M. Kentucky State Police Morehead was notified by Rowan County Dispatch of a single vehicle injury accident on Sharkey Road near the junction of Kentucky 32. Troopers Scott Caudill, Christopher Jones, Michael Wathen and Jay Cottrell responded to the scene. Darren Hogge, 23 was operating a 1998 Nissan Altima traveling east on Sharkey Road, Mr. Hogge vehicle traveled off the west bound lane colliding with a tree, coming to a final rest after striking an earth embankment. Mr. Hogge was extricated from the vehicle by Rowan County Emergency Medical Service. Mr. Hogge was transported from the scene by Rowan County EMS, to Saint Claire Medical Center, where he was transported by ambulance to the University of Kentucky Hospital. Rowan County Sheriff's Department arrived on scene and assisted with the investigation. Accident remains under investigation by Trooper Scott Caudill.
