Kentucky State Police Make Felony Arrest in Madison County

(Richmond, KY) -- On Friday, June 7, 2013 troopers assigned to the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post served a search warrant on Villa Drive in Richmond. During the investigation what is believed to be an active meth lab was located along with other narcotics. Two individuals were arrested at the scene and a juvenile child was located in the apartment where the suspected meth lab was found.
Charles Stephen Sparks, 43 years old of Berea, was arrested and charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamines, Trafficking in Marijuana over Eight Ounces, and Wanton Endangerment in the Second Degree.
Whitney Elizabeth Berryman, 23 years old of Richmond, was arrested and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.
Both individuals were lodged in the Madison County Detention Center. The juvenile was taken to Baptist Health Hospital for observation prior to being released to family members.
Trooper Anthony Trotter is the investigating officer and was assisted at the scene by other Richmond Post Troopers as well as members of the Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement/Special Investigation Branch.
