KSP Richmond Post Activity for April 2013

(Richmond, KY.) -- Captain Lisa Rudzinski, Post Commander of the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post is reporting the following activity for the month of April, 2013.

Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 2,105 citations of which 233 were for speeding and 16 for no child restraint. Troopers issued 238 citations for no seatbelts. 44 individuals were arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Troopers issued 512 courtesy notices, and assisted 67 stranded motorists, while inspecting 2,949 vehicles.

Richmond Post investigated 58 traffic collisions in the month of April.

Detectives and Troopers investigated 1,045 complaints, opened 76 criminal cases, and made 414 criminal arrests.
