Kentucky State Police Investigate Drug Activity

(Richmond, KY)-- On Sunday, January 27, 2013, at approximately 11:58 a.m. EST, The Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post received a complaint of possible drug activity at the La Quinta Inn, located at 1751 Lexington Road.
Responding officers spoke to several adult subjects who were occupying a room in the hotel. The investigation revealed numerous items of drug paraphernalia in addition to items commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine and suspected methamphetamines. A small child was located in the motel room and was removed by Madison County Social Services.
Five adults were arrested, taken into custody and lodged in the Madison County Detention Center, charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Precursors, and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.
Trooper Keith Parke is the investigating officer and was assisted at the scene by other agency personnel and the Richmond Police Department.
