Death Investigation in Madison County

(Berea, KY)-- On Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at approximately 11:55 am. EST the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was contacted by the Madison County 911 center concerning a deceased man found on Paint Lick Road.

Walter Coomer, 81 years old of Berea, was located in a shallow stream beside his residence. No obvious signs of foul play were observed

An autopsy is pending to determine the cause of death.

Detective Michael Keeton is the investigating officer and was assisted at the scene by KSP personnel, the Madison County Sheriff's Office, and the Madison County Coroner's Office.
