Kentucky State Police Investigates Fatal Shooting in Lincoln County

(Stanford, KY) -- On Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 11:25 pm. EST the Kentucky State Police, Richmond Post was contacted by the Bluegrass 911 center concerning a shooting that occurred on Meadowbrook Road near Stanford.

Initial investigation has revealed that shots were fired during a domestic violence altercation between a father and son. The son, Michael Henson, 42 years old of Stanford, was transported to the Fort Logan Hospital where he died of his injuries. Ray Henson, 75 years old of Stanford, is being interviewed concerning the death of Michael Henson.

Detective Monte Owens is the investigating officer and was assisted at the scene by Detective Rodney Wren, Sergeant Toby Coyle, Trooper Frank Thornberry, Trooper Jeff Stith, Trooper Donnie Moses, Trooper Josh Chenault, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, Lincoln County EMS, and the Lincoln County Coroners Office.
