Fatal Collision in Grant County

(Dry Ridge, KY) -- On May 25, 2013 at 2158 hours (9:58 p.m.) the Kentucky State Police responded to a two vehicle collision at Crittenden-Mt. Zion Road. Jack G. Masters (21) of Dry Ridge was operating a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier. Mr. Masters was entering Crittenden-Mt. Zion Road from a residential driveway. He pulled into the path of a 2006 Dodge Durango operated by Tabatha J. Noble (31) of Dry Ridge. The Cavalier was struck in the drivers side door and came to rest in the east bound lane of Crittenden-Mt. Zion Road. The Durango overturned and came to rest on its drivers side on the roadway. Jack Masters was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Grant County Coroners Office. A passenger in the Cavalier, Kyle McMullen (20) was transported to University of Cincinnati Hospital for his injuries. Two juveniles were transported from the Durango to University of Cincinnati Hospital for minor injuries. All patients were transported for non life threatening injuries. The collision remains under investigation by Trooper Brian Guilfoyle. Assisting at the scene was Grant County Sheriff's Deputies, Rural Metro EMS, Grant County Fire/EMS and Crittenden Fire Department.
