Attempted Robbery in Grant County

(Crittenden, KY) -- On January 16, 2013 at 1513 hours (3:15 p.m.) the Kentucky State Police in Dry Ridge received a call of a attempted robbery at the Total Care Pharmacy in Crittenden. The caller advised that a male subject entered the store and gave them a note demanding pills. They advised that they told him they were calling the police and the subject fled in a vehicle. They were able to get the license plate number and relay it to the dispatcher. The State Police units along with the assistance from deputies of the Grant County Sheriff's Office were able to locate the vehicle and suspect a short time later. Leslie D. Collins (44) of Crittenden was charged with attempted robbery and housed at the Grant County Detention Center. The case remains under investigation by KSP Detective Charles Haselwood.
