Two Found Dead in Radcliff Home

Date of News Release: 10/04/2013

(RADCLIFF, KY.) On Thursday, October 3, 2013 at approximately 9:01 P.M. EST, Kentucky State Police Post 04 received a call from Hardin County 911 in regards to a possible murder in the 100 block of Dogwood Dr. in Radcliff, Ky. An unidentified male called and stated that he had killed his wife and was going to commit suicide. KSP Post 4 Troopers along with Officers from the Radcliff Police Dept and the Hardin County Sheriff's Office responded to the Dogwood Dr. residence. Upon arrival they located William Bays (50), and his wife Wendy Bays (47), deceased in their home. Both died from fatal gunshot wounds. Both were pronounced dead at the scene by Hardin County Deputy Coroner Kenneth Spankenberger. The scene is being handled at this time as a Death Investigation. The investigation is ongoing by KSP Detective Jonathan Vaughn. KSP personnel was assisted by the Radcliff Police Dept, Hardin County S.O., Hardin County EMS, and the Hardin County Coroner's Office.
