Two Killed in a Collision on KY 100 in Allen County

(Bowling Green, KY) -- On Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at 7:00 A.M., Kentucky State Police Trooper First Class Tomie Walters responded to a two vehicle head on collision around the 3000 block of KY 100 in Allen County.

According to Trooper Walters, Sara E. Fitzpatrick (17) of Scottsville was traveling west on KY 100 operating her 2010 Ford Escape when she crossed the centerline into the path of James G. Williams (74) of Scottsville KY whom was operating a 1997 Ford F-150 striking the vehicle head on.

James Willams was pronounced dead on the scene by the Allen County Coroner's Office. Sara Fitzpatrick was transported to the Medical Center in Scottsville and later transported to the Medical Center in Bowling Green where she succumbed to her injuries. Mr Willams and Miss Fitzpatrick were both wearing their seatbelt at the time of the collision.

The investigation is still ongoing and is being led by Trooper First Class Tomie Walters. He was assisted on scene by the Allen County Sheriff's Office, Allen County EMS, Scottsville Fire Department and the Allen County Coroner's Office.
