Injury Collision on I-65 in Edmonson County

(Bowling Green, KY) -- On Sunday, February 10, 2013 at 2:25 P.M., Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green received a call for service at the 45.5 mile point on I-65.

According to Trooper Graham Rutherford, Carl Plested (47) was operating a 1999 Toyota Camry when he struck a pool of water in the roadway causing him to hydro plane and loose control. Mr. Plested veered left striking the concrete barrier and then veered back across the highway to the emergency lane. A passenger in the vehicle, Larry Quattlebaum (47) was transported to Caverna Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.

Trooper Rutherford was assisted by Barren County EMS and the Park City Volunteer Fire Department.
