Date of News Release: 01/11/2013
(Bowling Green, KY) -- On Friday, January 11, 2013, the Kentucky State Police responded to a single vehicle injury collision on U.S. 31-E (N.Jackson Hwy) in Hart County. A 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by 39 year old John G. Price of Canmer was Northbound on U.S. 31-E when, for unknown reasons, the driver failed to negotiate a curve.
The vehicle left the roadway in a sideways skid, hit an earth embankment going airborne, struck a fence, and overturned. Mr. Price was ejected from the vehicle through the driver's side window. Mr. Price was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision and was transported by helicopter to the University of Louisville Hospital where his condition was listed as stable.
Alcohol is a suspected factor in the collision. The collision is being investigated by Tpr. Daniel White, and he was assisted on the scene by Tpr. Jeremy Smith, Constable Bobby Tweedy, the Hardyville Fire Department, Hart County EMS, and Air Methods.
