Single-Vehicle Injury Collision on KY 70

Graham, KY (Muhlenberg County) - The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on KY 70, approximately one mile east of the Hopkins County line, on Sunday, December 29, 2013, at 8:33 a.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Terry Bowles, 62 of Greenville, KY, was operating a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck eastbound on KY 70 when it appears that he fell asleep.

The vehicle exited the right shoulder of the roadway and traveled down an embankment. It struck a tree before coming to rest off the roadway.

Mr. Bowles, who was wearing a seatbelt, was transported via ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. There were no passengers involved.

Trooper Craig Engler investigated the collision. The Muhlenberg County Sheriff's Department, the Graham Volunteer Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
