Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of Three Individual

Earlington, KY (Hopkins County) - The Kentucky State Police charged three subjects with multiple offenses after a traffic stop.

On Thursday, December 19, 2013, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Trooper Jonathan Murphy conducted a traffic stop on a Ford Ranger on US 41 in Earlington. After speaking with the driver, William J. Lohse, 57 of Hanson, KY, Trooper Murphy determined that he was impaired. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The two passengers, Amanda G. Braden, 35 of Hanson, KY, and Gwendolyn A. Browning, 34 of Nortonville, KY, were also arrested.

Listed below are the individuals and their charges:

William J. Lohse:

  1. DUI 1st Offense
  2. Failure to Wear Seatbelt
  3. Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense ? Meth
  4. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  5. Possession of Open Alcoholic Beverage in Motor Vehicle

Amanda G. Braden:

  1. Failure to Wear Seatbelt
  2. Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense ? Meth
  3. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  4. Execution of Warrant for Other Agency ( 2 counts)

Gwendolyn A. Browning:

  1. Failure to Wear Seatbelt
  2. Possession Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense ? Meth
  3. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  4. Execution of Warrant for Other Agency

All three subjects were lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
