Criminal Arrest After Pursuit in Hopkins County

Nortonville, KY (Hopkins County) - Trooper Bartolotti was at the intersection of US62 and US41 in Hopkins County when he observed a blue and white Chevy truck occupied by a white male spinning his tires at the stop sign. Trooper Bartolotti initiated his emergency equipment in an attempt to stop the vehicle. The violator accelerated in an attempt to elude and continued south on US41 approximately one half mile. The violator then made a right turn onto West Walnut Street and continued a short distance before stopping. Once stopped the driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Trooper Bartolotti subdued the subject and placed him under arrest without incident. The driver Justin W. Goode, 23 years old of Nortonville, KY was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.

Trooper Joseph Bartolotti arrested Mr. Goode and charged him with the following offenses:

  1. Reckless Driving
  2. Improper Start From a Parked Position
  3. Fleeing or Evading Police, 1st Degree
  4. DUI, 3rd Offense, Aggravated
  5. Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle
  6. Disorderly Conduct 1st
  7. Failure to Produce Insurance Card
