Central City Man Arrested on Drug Charge

Central City, KY (Muhlenberg County) - The Kentucky State Police charged a Central City man with trafficking in a controlled substance.
On Thursday, November 21, 2013, at approximately 10:51 a.m., KSP Detective Brandon McPherson arrested Steven D. Ford, 21 of Central City, KY, and charged him with one count of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree First Offense (Class D Felony).
Detective McPherson began an investigation after receiving information that the accused had sent text messages to the wrong number attempting to sell pills. Detectives arranged a meeting with the accused in the IGA parking lot in Central City. Mr. Ford was arrested without incident. He was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center. Tpr. Jerry Knight and the Central City Police Department assisted.
