Child Pornography Investigation and Arrest

Marion, KY (Crittenden County) - An investigation by Kentucky State Police, Post 2 has resulted in the arrest of a Crittenden County High School teacher with multiple sex offense including possession of child pornography. In late August, Kentucky State Police received an anonymous tip regarding an inappropriate relationship between Mr. Blair Winders and a female high school student. An investigation began by Detective Matt Foster. On October 31, Detective Foster testified before a Crittenden County Grand Jury regarding the evidence of the case. Shortly after the detective's testimony, the Grand Jury returned a 56 count indictment on Winders. Blair Winders, 37 of Marion was charged with the following:

  • Sexual Abuse 1st Degree
  • Use of a Minor U/18 in a Sexual Performance
  • Prohibited Use of an Electronic Communication System to Procure a Minor Regarding Sexual Activity
  • Possession of Matter Portraying a Sexual Performance by a Minor (51 Counts)
  • Distribution of Obscene Matter to a Minor 1st Offense
  • Tampering with Physical Evidence

Winders was located at his residence on Thursday and arrested without incident. He was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing by Detective Matt Foster with the Kentucky State Police.
