Execution of Search Warrant Leads to Felony Drug Arrest

Dawson Springs, KY. (Hopkins County) – The Kentucky State Police arrested a Dawson Springs man on drug-related charges.
On Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at approximately 7:26 p.m., Trooper Bob Winters, Trooper Jonathan Murphy and officers from the Dawson Springs Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence located on West Walnut Street in Dawson Springs.
Upon executing the search warrant, officers located suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia in the room in which the accused, Brett R. Cobb, 20 of Dawson Springs, KY, resides. Officers also located suspected meth on the accused. Mr. Cobb was arrested without incident.
Trooper Winters charged Mr. Cobb with the following offenses:
- Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Degree 1st Offense – Meth
- Possession of Marijuana
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
He was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
