Fugitive from Justice Arrested in Caldwell County

(Caldwell County) -- Law Enforcement Officers were given the location of Kenneth Fitzgerald, a fugitive from justice. Mr. Fitzgerald was known to be armed and had made threats against Law Enforcement and Livingston County Hospital employees. Officers from Livingston County, Caldwell County and Crittenden County responded with the Kentucky State Police to a location near Mill Bluff Road, approximately 2 miles west of Fredonia, KY. Mr. Fitzgerald was located in a wooded area and was arrested by Trooper Dodd. Through investigation, two semi-automatic rifles were recovered along with Marijuana. Mr. Fitzgerald was charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Trafficking in Marijuana greater than 5 lbs, and Resisting Arrest. Mr. Fitzgerald was transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center where he was processed and lodged. In addition to the charges listed above, Mr. Fitzgerald was served with warrants from Livingston County and the Kentucky State Police. The investigation is continuing by Trooper First Class Lewie Dodd.
