Greenville Man Injured in a Collision on KY 181

Greenville, KY. (Muhlenberg County) – The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on KY 181, approximately 2 miles north of Greenville, on Sunday, March 10, 2013, at 11:51 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that Brinkley B. King, 66 of Greenville, KY, was operating a 1979 Chevrolet pickup truck southbound on KY 181. Mr. King's vehicle dropped off the right shoulder of the roadway causing him to lose control. It struck an embankment and traveled down a ditch. The vehicle came to rest off the roadway facing east.

Mr. King, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was transported via ambulance to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital for treatment. There were no passengers.

Trooper Jonathan McGehee investigated the collision. The Greenville Fire Department and Muhlenberg County EMS assisted at the scene.
