Single-Vehicle Injury Collision on the Edward T. Breathitt Pennyrile Parkway

Hopkinsville, KY. (Christian County) -- The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on the Edward T. Breathitt Pennyrile Parkway, at approximately the 8 mile-marker, on Friday, February 15, 2013, at 10:58 a.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Jonathan Chouchan, 21 of Akron, OH, was operating a 2007 Scion TC passenger car southbound on the parkway. Mr. Chouchan was traveling in the left when another vehicle came into his lane of travel. Mr. Chouchan swerved to avoid the other vehicle and traveled into the median. He lost control of the vehicle and it overturned. It came to rest on its top in the left lane of the northbound lanes of the parkway.
Mr. Chouchan and one of his passengers, Janna Ward, 20 of Clarksville, TN, were not injured. His two, other passengers, Britney Napier, 19 of Pegram, TN, and Brittney Hancock, 19 of White Bluff, TN, were transported via ambulance to the Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment. All occupants were wearing seatbelts.
Trooper Michael Dennis conducted the investigation. Hopkinsville Fire & Rescue and Hopkinsville EMS assisted at the scene.
