Date of News Release: 02/01/2013
St. Charles, KY. (Hopkins County) -- The Kentucky State Police investigated a single-vehicle, injury collision that occurred on KY 112 (Ilsley Road) on Friday, February 1, 2013 at approximately 9:06 a.m.
The preliminary investigation revealed that Shannon Copeland-Ramage, age 33 of Dawson Springs, KY, was operating a 2005 Ford F-150 pickup truck northbound on KY 112. As she was traveling northbound, Ms. Copeland-Ramage lost control of the vehicle. The truck exited the northbound shoulder of the roadway and traveled down an earth embankment striking several, metal fence posts. The truck became airborne and overturned coming to rest upright just off the northbound lane of travel.
Ms. Copeland-Ramage was transported via ambulance to Baptist Health Madisonville for treatment. She was wearing a seatbelt.
Trooper Ben Sawyer conducted the investigation. The St. Charles Volunteer Fire Department and Medical Center Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
