KSP Post 1 Arrests Thirteen as Part of 'Operation Black Friday'

(Mayfield, KY) - On November 1, Kentucky State Police conducted a statewide drug round-up entitled "Operation Black Friday". After a lengthy investigation, warrants were issued for the arrests of fourteen (14) individuals from the Post 1 district. At approximately 7:00 AM this morning, Kentucky State Police (KSP), KSP Division of Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, KSP Special Operations, ATFE and the United States Marshal's Office simultaneously served several arrest warrants on individuals in Livingston, Marshall, McCracken, and Hickman Counties.

The following is a list of individuals charged and offenses for which they were charged:

  1. Jeffrey Creason (49), Clinton, KY, Hickman County charges/lodged in the Hickman County Jail; charges: Trafficking Controlled Substance-1st Degree, 1st Offense (meth), Possession of Controlled Substance-1st Degree, 1st Offense, Trafficking Marijuana, and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon. Troopers also seized additional methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and $3,200 in currency.
  2. Harold Hardin (58), Salem, KY, Lyon County charge/lodged in the McCracken County Jail; charge: Trafficking Controlled Substance-1st Degree, 1st Offense (meth); and Marshall County charge/lodged in the McCracken County Jail; charge: Trafficking Controlled Substance-1st Degree, 1st Offense (meth).
  3. Norman Tharp (50), Grand Rivers, KY, Marshall County charges/lodged in the Marshall County Jail; charge: Trafficking Marijuana.
  4. Nick Hatfield (48), Grand Rivers, KY, Livingston County charges/lodged in the McCracken County Jail; charge: Trafficking Controlled Substance-1st Degree, 1st Offense (meth).
  5. Douglas R. Walker (42), Grand Rivers, KY, Lyon County charges/lodged in the Caldwell County Jail; charge: Possession of Controlled Substance-1st Degree, 1st Offense (meth) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
  6. Paul Jason Fleet (38), Calvert City, KY, Marshall County charges/lodged in the Marshall County Jail; charges: 2 counts-Trafficking Controlled Substance-1st Degree, 1st Offense (meth).
  7. Vickie Goldsby (62), Calvert City, KY, Marshall County charges/lodged in the Marshall County Jail; charge: Trafficking Controlled Substance-2nd Degree, 1st Offense.
  8. Darren Hargrove (45), Benton, KY, Marshall County charges/lodged in the Marshall County Jail; charge: Possession of Controlled Substance-1st Degree, 2nd Offense (meth), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
  9. Kristi Price (33), Hardin, KY, Marshall County charges/lodged in the Marshall County Jail; charges: Possession of Controlled Substance-1st Degree, 1st Offense (meth) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
  10. Jerrie Rene Garrett (41), Marion, KY, Marshall County charges/lodged in the Marshall County Jail; charges: Trafficking Controlled Substance-1st Degree, 1st Offense (meth) and Complicity to Trafficking Controlled Substance-1st Degree, 1st Offense (meth).
  11. Kasandra 'Kay' Borders (42), Calvert City, KY, Marshall County charges/lodged in the Marshall County Jail; charges: Trafficking Controlled Substance-2nd Degree, 1st Offense (pills).
  12. Makaela Franklin (22), Salem, KY, Livingston County charges/lodged in the McCracken County Jail; charges: Trafficking Controlled Substance-1st Degree, 1st Offense (meth).
  13. Gary Caldwell (49), Uniontown, KY, Union County charges/lodged in the McCracken County Jail; charges: Manufacturing Methamphetamine-2nd or subsequent offense, Possession of Controlled Substance-1st Degree, 2nd Offense (meth), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
  14. Troy R. Humphrey (40), Eddyville, KY, Marshall County charges/lodged in the Shelby County, TN Jail; charges: Trafficking Controlled Substance-1st Degree, 1st Offense (meth). **Note: KSP contacted the United States Coast Guard (USCG) after learning that Humphrey was on a commercial vessel operated on the Mississippi River. The USCG coordinated the arrest with the Memphis (TN) Police Department. Humphrey was arrested at 4:30pm.

This concludes all 14 arrest targets in the Post 1 district.
