KSP Arrests Two Marshall County Residents for Carlisle County Shooting

(Benton, Ky.) - On Thursday October 24, 2013 the Kentucky State Police arrested Robert H. Morrison, 41 of Benton, KY and Donald G. Thorn, 38 of Gilbertsville, KY. The arrest stem from an ongoing investigation by KSP of a home invasion, that occurred in Carlisle County on October 3, 2013, in which the homeowner was shot and stabbed. Morrison and Thorn were charged with Robbery 1st degree (class B felony) and Assault 1st degree (class B felony). They were lodged in the Marshall County Detention Facility with a $100,000 cash bond.
Detective Kyle Nall was assisted by the Paducah Police Department, the Marshall County Sheriff's Office and the Kentucky State Police Special Response Team. The investigation continues by Detective Nall.

KSP working shooting in Carlisle County

(Arlington, Ky.) – The Kentucky State Police received a call on Thursday October 3, 2013 at approximately 01:46 A.M. in reference to a shooting and stabbing that had just occurred in Carlisle County.
Two white males, armed with a handgun and knife, entered a residence wearing ski masks and demanded money and property from the homeowner, Edward L. Wallace, 36 of Arlington. Mr. Wallace attempted to disarm one of the males and was stabbed multiple times and was shot once. The two males then fled the residence in an unknown direction of travel.
Mr. Wallace was transported to Jackson Purchase ER in Mayfield, KY and was later transferred by ambulance to Vanderbilt, Hospital in Nashville, TN for his injuries.
During the investigation KSP located and recovered 4.7 grams of methamphetamine and marijuana from Mr. Wallace's property. KSP believes this attempted robbery was an isolated incident.
