KSP Makes Arrest in Graves County Burglary

(West Plains, KY.) -- On Thursday June 06, 2013 at approximately 5:00 P.M. the Kentucky State Police was contacted by a Joseph Nichols who stated his residence, located on KY 1684, had been burglarized with several items missing.
After an initial investigation by Trooper Cory Hamby, Troopers were led to a residence located on Florida Street in Paducah, KY where Haley Boggs, age 22, and Richard Middleton, age 32, were both located. While conducting an interview with Haley Boggs, Trooper Hamby noticed several of the items that were reported missing located throughout the residence in plain view. Following the interview, Troopers were able to obtain a search warrant for the residence. As Troopers pulled back into the driveway to serve the search warrant, Mr. Middleton fled out the back door on foot and has since not been located. After conducting a search of the residence, outbuilding, and a vehicle, all of the items reported stolen were located and returned to the victim.
Haley Boggs, age 22 of Paducah, KY was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000 (class D felony), possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges are currently pending on Richard Middleton, age 32 of Paducah, KY.
