KSP makes arrest on fugitive wanted out of Livingston County

(Fredonia, KY) -- The Kentucky State Police arrested Kenneth B. Fitzgerald, 26 of Fredonia, KY, after receiving a tip on a possible location. Mr. Fitzgerald was wanted for threats made against Livingston County Hospital employees and Law Enforcement Officers. Officers from the Livingston County, Caldwell County and Crittenden County Sherriff's offices responded with the Kentucky State Police to a location near Mill Bluff Road, approximately 2 miles west of Fredonia, KY on April 5, 2013 at approximately 7:30 P.M. Mr. Fitzgerald was located in a wooded area near this location and arrested by Trooper Frist Class Lewie Dodd. During the course of the investigation and arrest, two semi-automatic rifles were recovered. Mr. Fitzgerald was charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Resisting Arrest. A KSP warrant was served for Trafficking in Marijuana greater than 8 ounces and less than 5 pounds. In addition to the charges listed, Mr. Fitzgerald was served with warrants from Livingston County for Assault 3rd, and Terroristic Threatening 3rd degree. Mr. Fitzgerald was lodged in the Caldwell County Detention Center. The investigation is continuing by Trooper First Class Lewie Dodd.
