Fugitive and Drug Investigation in Calloway County

(Murray, KY.) -- Kentucky State Police responded to a residence on Campbell Street in Murray to attempt to serve an arrest warrant. While investigating the whereabouts of the originally reported fugitive, KSP located Joshua Vaughn who provided a KSP Trooper with a false name. While investigating the true identity of Mr. Vaughn, he fled on foot. After a foot pursuit through the parking lot and apartment complex, Vaughn was apprehended by officers. During a subsequent search of the vehicle and residence shared by Vaughn, and a female identified as Deeanne Natividad, numerous drugs, drug paraphernalia, and a handgun were located. Vaughn and Natividad also had an 8 year old child in there custody at the time of this incident.

Vaughn was arrested and charged with the following: Fugitive from Another State, Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree, Giving Police Officer False Name, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine), 2 Counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Cocaine), Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Cocaine), Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, 2 Counts of Prescription Controlled Substance Not in Proper Container, Possession of Marijuana, and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.

Vaughn was a wanted fugitive out of Henry County, Tennessee relating to a probation violation warrant, concerning a Manufacturing Methamphetamine conviction.

Natividad was arrested and charged with the following: Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Methamphetamine), Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st Degree (Cocaine), 2 Counts of Prescription Controlled Substance Not in Proper Container, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, and Hindering Apprehension 2nd Degree.

Both Vaughn and Natividad were lodged in the Calloway County Jail. Kentucky State Police troopers were assisted by the Murray Police Department. The investigation continues by Trooper Jody Cash.
