Pursuit in McCracken County

(Hickory, Ky.) -- Trooper Cory Hamby observed a vehicle traveling at an excessive speed on I-24 in McCracken County. When Trooper Hamby activated his emergency equipment, the driver, Adrian Sutton, sped up and exited the interstate at Exit#4. Sutton made several evasive turns in an attempt to elude Trooper Hamby, but was unsuccessful. Sutton drove around the Marriott Hotel on Technology Drive a few times before he exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Hamby gave chase and closed enough distance to deploy his TASER. The TASER was effective and ended the chase. Sutton was detained without further incident. The passenger, Alexandria Worrell, moved into the driver seat of the vehicle and fled the scene. She was located by Paducah P.D. and arrested by Trooper Hamby shortly afterwards.
Adrian T. Sutton was charged with Speeding 22 MPH over limit, DUI 2nd offense aggravated, Fleeing/Evading Police 1st (Motor Vehicle), Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Open Alcohol Container in Motor Vehicle, Improper Registration Plate, Reckless Driving, Driving DUI Suspended 1st Aggravated and Resisting Arrest.
Alexandria M. Worrell was charged with DUI 1st Aggravated, Fleeing/Evading Police Officer 1st and Open Alcohol Container in Motor Vehicle.
Both were lodged into the McCracken County Jail .
