Two Arrested on Drug Charges in Daviess County

(Henderson, KY) - On Sunday, December 29th, 2013 Kentucky State Police Trooper's responded to 7945 KY 2830 in the Maceo Community Of Daviess County regarding possible illegal drug activity. Upon arrival, Trooper's observed items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine located in plain view near the residence. Troopers obtained search warrant for Amy Spencer's residence and the subsequent search of the residence revealed methamphetamine and numerous items used to manufacture methamphetamine. John Rice and Amy Spencer were arrested at the scene and transported to Daviess County Detention Center. Kentucky State Police was assisted by Daviess County Sheriff's Office and Daviess County Animal Control.

John Ira Rice was charged with: Manufacturing Methamphetamine, 1st Offense, Poss Cont Sub 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine), Drug Paraphernalia-Buy/Possess, Drug Paraphernalia Deliver-Manufacture, Trafficking in Controlled Substance (<=2 Grams Methamphetamine), Unlawful Poss of Meth Precursor 1st Offense, Failure to Notify Address Change Dept. of Transportation.

Amy Sue Spencer was charged with: Manufacturing Methamphetamine, 1st Offense, Poss Cont Sub 1st Degree, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine), Drug Paraphernalia-Buy/Possess, Drug Paraphernalia Deliver-Manufacture, Trafficking in Controlled Substance (<=2 Grams Methamphetamine), Unlawful Poss of Meth Precursor 1st Offense.
