Drug Arrest in Hancock County

(Henderson, KY) -- On Wednesday, December 18th, 2013, Kentucky State Police Trooper's responded to a suspicious activity complaint in the Dukes community of Hancock County. Upon arrival at 8048 KY 144, Trooper's detected a strong ammonia odor and items used to manufacture methamphetamine. Trooper's obtained a search warrant for John Embry's residence and the subsequent search of the residence revealed numerous items used to manufacture methamphetamine. John Mark Embry was arrested at his father's residence located on KY 1265 in Hancock County and transported to Breckinridge County Detention Center. Embry was charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Precursor, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Unlawful Removal of Methamphetamine Contamination Notice. Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by Hancock County Sheriff's Office.
