Two Arrested on Drug Charges in Hancock County

(Henderson, KY) - Kentucky State Police responded to a trespassing complaint at 8940 KY1700 in Hancock County. Owners of the property stated that Bobby Basham, Jacklyn Basham and their children were residing at the residence unlawfully. Upon Troopers arrival, Bobby Basham fled from the residence on foot, but was later apprehended. After searching the residence, Troopers located remnants of a clandestine methamphetamine lab and other items commonly used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. During the course of the investigation, Troopers recovered a stolen 4-wheeler and other stolen items at the property. Bobby and Jacklyn Basham were arrested at the scene and lodged in the Breckenridge County Detention Center. The children were removed by Hancock County Social Services. Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by Hancock Co Sheriffs Dept., Social Services, Animal Control, and Ohio Co Sheriffs Dept.

Bobby Basham was charged with:

  1. criminal trespass, 1st deg
  2. manufacturing methamphetamine, 1st off
  3. drug paraphernalia buy/possess
  4. controlled substance endangerment to child, 4th deg, 2 counts
  5. fleeing evading police, 2nd deg, on foot
  6. menacing

Jacklyn Basham was charged with:

  1. criminal trespass, 1st deg
  2. manufacturing methamphetamine, 1st off
  3. drug paraphernalia buy/possess
  4. controlled substance endangerment to child, 4th deg, 2 counts
  5. possession of marijuana
