Hawesville Man Arrested on Drug Related Charges

(Henderson, KY) - On Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at approximately 10:30 p.m., Kentucky State Police troopers received an anonymous tip that Richard Alexander was manufacturing and trafficking illegal drugs. KSP troopers located Alexander in the 6900 block of Leah Lane (Lamplight subdivision, east Daviess County). On approach, troopers and sheriff deputies observed suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside Alexander's vehicle. Kentucky State Police troopers arrested Alexander and charged him with Possession of a Controlled Substance, 3rd or more Offense (methamphetamine); Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Precursor, 1st Offense; Drug Paraphernalia (possession). He was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro.
Troopers then were able to secure a search warrant for Alexander's Hawesville residence (100 block of Second Street). Upon executing the search warrant, authorities located suspected methamphetamine; methamphetamine lab(s); methamphetamine precursor and drug paraphernalia inside his residence.
Alexander was charged in Hancock County for Manufacturing Methamphetamine, 1st Offense; Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense; Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Precursor, 1st Offense and Drug Paraphernalia (possess). He remains in the Daviess County Detention Center.
The investigation is continuing.
