Adair County Man charged with Marijuana Offenses

(Columbia, KY.) - 49-year-old Kenneth Thiery of Edmonton Rd, Columbia has been arrested and charged with Cultivating Marijuana (5 plants or more) 1st Offense and Trafficking in Marijuana (8 OZ to < 5 lbs) 1st Offense. Units from Post 15 responded to a residence on Edmonton Road in Adair County on Tuesday, October 1st. The investigation led to the seizure of 502 marijuana plants that were being grown inside a residence and greenhouse, 1 lb of processed marijuana, 2 shotguns, 1 rifle and a handgun along with 2 Incendiary devices. Thiery was arrested on a Felony Warrant by Lexington Metro Police on Monday, October 7th. Tpr Edwin Botkin of the Kentucky State Police Cannabis Suppression section is investigating.
