Casey County Injury Collision

(Liberty, Ky.) -- Trooper Bryan Shepard is investigating a collison that occurred today (02/28/2013) at 1:10 PM CST on Bastin Creek Road, 8 miles east of Liberty. 18-year-old Misty Cochran of Liberty was traveling east on Bastin Creek Road operating a 2004 Mazda when she struck a westbound 1999 Nissan Sentra head-on. The Sentra was operated by 61-year-old Humberto Medellin of Liberty. Both drivers were belted and treated at Pulaski County Hospital.

Passengers in the Cochran vehicle, 19-year-old Kegan Posey and 20-year-old Logan Lloyd of Waynesburg, were both belted and not injured. A third passenger, 16-year-old Rance Carman of Liberty was also belted and not injured. A passenger in the Medellin vehicle, 38-year-old Amanda Hutchison of Liberty was belted and treated at Pulaski County Hospital.
