Russell Springs Woman Injured in a Collision on KY379

(Russell Springs, Ky.) -- Trooper Adam Likins is investigating a collision that occurred today at 4:15 PM CST, 3 miles south of Russell Springs on KY379. The collision occurred when a 2007 Chevy, operated by 16-year-old Emily York of Russell Springs, was traveling south on KY379. Ms. York's vehicle dropped off of the southbound side of the roadway, struck the embankment of the ditchline which caused the vehicle to overturn before coming to final rest on a fence. Ms. York was not belted at the time of the collision and was transported to the Russell County Hospital.
