KSP Post 14 Citizens Police Academy

(Ashland, KY) -- The Kentucky State Police in Ashland will be hosting their fourth annual Citizens Police Academy starting on March 28, 2013 (Thursday) at the Health and Education Center at Kings Daughters Medical Center. The classes run for 11 weeks from 7:00 � 9:30 pm every Thursday evening with a graduation ceremony on June 6, 2013.
This learning opportunity will provide those in the class with an in depth look at the multiple aspects of the Kentucky State Police. Participants will be presented with the opportunity to interact with Troopers that work the local communities.

- Legal process
- Patrol / Accident Investigation
- Traffic Stops
- Criminal Investigations
- Commercial Vehicle Enforcement
- Trooper Island
- Drug Investigations
- Lab Overview
- Special Response Team / K-9 / Hazardous Devices
