West Virginia Fugitive Arrests

(Ashland, Ky.) -- The Kentucky State Police in Ashland have arrested two West Virginia residents after receiving information that both individuals were wanted in the state of West Virginia on charges of Child Neglect Resulting in Death.

The Kentucky State Police Ashland was contacted by The West Virginia State Police and informed of an open investigation involving Byron Morrison and Pearl Christian. Information was received that both individuals could possibly be attending services at Evans Funeral Home in Raceland, KY. Troopers and Detectives from The Kentucky State Police Ashland responded and located both individuals.

Byron N. Morrison, age 38, was arrested without incident, charged with Fugitive from Another State and lodged in the Greenup County Detention Center.

Pearl Jean Christian, age 45, was arrested without incident, charged with Fugitive from Another State and lodged in the Greenup County Detention Center.

Trooper Ben Tanner was the arresting officer.
