One Injured In Shooting In Perry County

(Hazard, Ky.) -- On January 16, 2013 at approximately 01:57 a.m. Kentucky State Police in Hazard received a call from Perry County 911 of a possible shooting on Dusty Road in the Viper community of Perry County.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the victim Johnny R. Clark, age 38 of Viper, had received multiple gunshot wounds while inside his residence. The perpetrator had fired several shots through the door and then fled the scene. Clark was transported to the Hazard ARH for treatment and then transferred to the University of Kentucky Medical Center with what is believed to be non-life threatening injuries. No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is continuing by Kentucky State Police.
