ATV Collision Claims the Life of a Manchester Man

(LONDON, KY.) - On Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at approximately 10:37 PM, the Kentucky State Police, Post 11 London, received a report of a single ATV crash on KY 472 in Clay County.
Upon arrival Trooper Nick Metcalf determined that a 2006, Honda, ATV, operated by Glenn D. Hoskins, 44, of Manchester, was traveling eastbound on KY 472 when it went out of control and overturned causing Hoskins to be ejected.
Hoskins was flown from the scene to the University of Kentucky Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
On Thursday, December 26, 2013 Trooper Metcalf was contacted by the Fayette County Coroners Office and notified that Hoskins had died from the injuries that he had sustained in the collision.
Hoskins was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the collision.
Trooper Metcalf is in charge of the investigation and was assisted at the scene by the Burning Springs Fire Department and the Clay County EMS.
