14 Arrested in Post 11 area in a KSP Drug Round-up

(LONDON, KY.) - On Friday November 01, 2013 the Kentucky State Police, Post 11, London served numerous arrest warrants on subjects in numerous counties.

The arrests were a culmination of an 8 month long investigation into illegal drug activity.

Arrested were:

Marvin D. Carter, 47, of Woodbine, KY charged with three counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree and one count of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree in Whitley County.

Helen J. Canada, 48, of Woodbine, KY charged with two counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree and one count of Trafficking in a Legend Drug in Whitley County.

Jammy D. Poore, 38, of Rockhold, KY charged with one count of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree in Whitley County.

Wesley Varga, 34, of Woodbine, KY charged with three counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree Boyle County.

Timothy A. Kersey, 34, of Williamsburg, KY charged with three counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree in Whitley County.

Timothy W. Curnutt, 39, of Williamsburg, KY charged with three counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree in Whitley County.

Kristy L. Baker, 34, of Barbourville, KY charged with three counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree in Whitley County.

James Bell, 44, of Barbourville, KY charged with four counts of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree in Whitley County.

Daniel C. Ball, 28, of Stearns, KY charged with one count of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 2nd Degree in McCreary County.

Jacob E. Renfro, 22, of Stearns, KY charged with one count of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree in McCreary County.

Also arrested as the result of a joint Kentucky State Police and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) investigation were the following:

Garey Croley, 47, of Gatlif, KY
Johnny Blakley, 50, of Williamsburg, KY
Lois J. White, 49, of Williamsburg, KY
Travis White, 30, of Williamsburg

The four above suspect's charges include the following:

Conspiracy to Distribute a Controlled Substance, 17 counts of Distribution of a Controlled Substance, 5 counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, one count of Possession of a Firearm which is not registered in the National Firearms Register and Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of a Drug Trafficking Crime.

The joint investigation was lead by KSP Detective Don Sivils and ATF Agent Todd Tremaine.

Kentucky State Police Post 11, was assisted by the Whitley County Sheriff's Office, Williamsburg Police Department, KSP Drug Enforcement Special Investigations East, ATF, Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officers and the Kentucky Probation and Parole.
